Qualification Requirements
- Education: Grade 10 and Basic Literacy
- Licenses:
- Valid C1 Driver’s License
- PDP/Certificate in transportation of dangerous goods (preferred)
Experience Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Operating a Jet Patcher:
- Addressing potholes, edge deterioration, and cracks on construction sites or during maintenance activities.
- Driving and Maneuvering:
- The Jet Patcher Truck to execute spraying, filling, sealing, and leveling tasks.
- Site Preparation:
- Clearing the worksite by removing loose debris before addressing affected areas.
- Applying asphalt emulsion to seal potholes and prevent further road damage.
- Filling and Sealing:
- A high-velocity air nozzle fills cracks or holes with a cold-applied bitumen emulsion and aggregate mix.
- Spraying, sealing, and covering patched areas with crasher sand to protect against traffic wear.
- Inspection and Maintenance:
- Inspecting safety devices, controls, and lubricant levels, and reporting any defects.
- Performing basic maintenance to ensure the patcher operates efficiently.
- Cleaning and maintaining the Jet Patcher by clearing debris and replacing defective parts when necessary.
